Replace Excel where it hurts, and keep it where it works

Almost every company has an Excel file without which nothing runs and which only one person understands. With Onagero, your team turns such files into tools: with fixed rules, roles and a source for every number. Excel stays for the quick one-off calculation.

  • Read only
  • No change to your ERP
  • Connection included in the pilot
  • GDPR ready

In short

Onagero reads Excel files that are produced regularly and builds internal tools on your server from them, or replaces the file entirely if its data actually comes from the ERP. Formulas become tested code, references become fixed connections, versions become a history. You can export at any time.

Possible ways to the data

Which one fits for you we clarify with your IT before the contract.

File as a source

If a file is produced regularly by another system, Onagero reads it from an agreed folder and checks whether its structure is correct.

Replacing the file

If the file only copies data out of the ERP and recalculates it, Onagero fetches the data directly and the file becomes unnecessary.

Input in the tool

Where people enter values, the tool gets an input form with validation and history.

What your IT provides

  • a folder Onagero may read from, or the route to the original source
  • a server or virtual machine in your network

Good to know

Not every Excel file should be replaced. For one-off calculations and drafts, Excel is the right tool. We start with the file that costs time every week and where an error would be expensive.

Turning Excel lists data into a foundation to build on

What stays with you, what Onagero makes of it, and what the language model gets to see.

Onagero creates an analysis copy of the needed data on your server and describes it in the data map: the meaning of each column, relationships, origin and review status. Your people build on that.

In development, the copy holds no personal data. Released applications read from a live view only what their roles allow.

Questions about connecting to Excel lists

Which Excel files are suitable?

Those that are refilled regularly, depend on several people, or whose result supports decisions. One-off analyses are not suitable.

What happens to our macros?

Your logic is understood and rebuilt as tested code. The macro itself does not run in Onagero.

Can we keep exporting to Excel?

Yes, at any time.

What if the structure of the file changes?

Then it is noticed on import and the tool reports it instead of calculating wrongly. The adjustment is part of operation.

your team solve first?
