AI in Plastics Processing: Mold, Machine and Material in View
In injection molding and extrusion, scrap and costs depend on three things: mold, machine, material. Each of them is in a different list. Onagero brings them together.

- Reads only, never writes
- GDPR ready
- First result in weeks
In short
With Onagero, plastics processors build their own tools from completion-confirmation, mold and material data: scrap per mold and machine, setup times at mold changes, material costs against the quote, complaints per article and batch. Read-only, on your server.
What is different in Plastics Processing
The mold is the unit
An injection mold runs on different machines, with different cavities. The evaluation has to follow the mold, not just the machine.
Start-up scrap is plannable
After every mold change there are start-up parts. How many depends on mold and material. The tool shows it from your bookings.
Material and regrind
Virgin material, regrind and colorant: where shares are booked, the material use per article can be tracked.
Questions asked every week
Any of them can become a pilot.
Analyze scrap
Onagero links your scrap postings to order, line, shift, tooling and material, and your team builds a scrap analysis from them, with the data as-of date above every …
Learn more →Evaluate machine times
Onagero evaluates the times that your machines and your ERP already post: run time, setup time, downtime with reason, planned and unplanned breaks. The result is a tool …
Learn more →Evaluate complaints
Onagero links complaints to order, batch, line, shift and supplier and sorts the free texts into categories that your QM defines. The result is a tool that shows …
Learn more →Track material prices
Onagero continuously compares your actual purchase prices with the material basis of your pre-costing. The tool shows which materials have moved, which items contain …
Learn more →Your systems
Plastics processors often have an ERP, an MES or a BDE at the machines, and a CAQ for quality. Onagero connects these sources as far as your IT releases them for read access.

Questions from Plastics Processing
Does Onagero evaluate process data from the injection molding machine?
If it is stored in a database that your IT releases, it can be a source. Onagero does not connect directly to the machine controller.
Can Onagero look at cavities individually?
If scrap is booked per cavity, yes. Otherwise the tool shows the level that the data allows.
We are an automotive supplier. What applies there?
See the page for automotive suppliers; it covers call-offs, complaints and records.
How do we begin?
With a process that costs time every week, often the scrap evaluation. The fit check helps with the selection.
