Analyzing SAP data with AI without touching SAP
In many companies the knowledge sits in SAP, but every new analysis waits for a ticket. With Onagero, your departments build tools alongside SAP, from data your IT provides read-only. SAP itself stays unchanged.
- Read only
- No change to your ERP
- Connection included in the pilot
- GDPR ready
In short
Onagero reads SAP data through a route your IT releases: a released interface, a replication or a regular export. This produces internal tools on your server. Onagero writes nothing into SAP. We set up the connection with your IT during the getting-started phase.
Possible ways to the data
Which one fits for you we clarify with your IT before the contract.
Released interface
Many SAP systems provide data through defined interfaces. If your IT releases one of them for read-only access, this is usually the cleanest route.
Replication or data store
Where SAP data is already replicated into a data store or a data warehouse, Onagero reads from there. SAP does not notice.
Regular export
A scheduled export into a file or database is the simplest route to start with.
What your IT provides
- read-only access via the agreed route, covering the tables or views the workflow needs
- a clarification with your SAP contact on whether access by a third-party system is covered by your license
- a server or virtual machine in your network for Onagero
Good to know
Access to SAP data by third-party systems can raise licensing questions. This is not legal advice; clarify it with your SAP contact before the start. We set up the route the way you release it.
Turning SAP data into a foundation to build on
What stays with you, what Onagero makes of it, and what the language model gets to see.
Onagero creates an analysis copy of the needed data on your server and describes it in the data map: the meaning of each column, relationships, origin and review status. Your people build on that.
In development, the copy holds no personal data. Released applications read from a live view only what their roles allow.
Questions about connecting to SAP
Does Onagero replace SAP reports?
No. Onagero makes sense where a report is not produced in SAP today, but from exports and manual work.
Does Onagero write back into SAP?
No. Tools read. Write access to an ERP is ruled out.
Does this work with S/4HANA and with older versions?
The route differs, the principle is the same: read what IT releases. We clarify which route fits for you before the contract.
Do we need SAP consultants for this?
For read-only access, often a short alignment with the person who looks after your SAP. It is not a consulting project.
