Material price monitoring: before the costing is out of date

Material prices move faster than costings are adjusted. Onagero shows where your purchase prices deviate from the basis of your costing, and which items and customers that affects.

  • Runs on your server
  • Reads only, never writes
  • GDPR ready
  • First result in weeks

In short

Onagero continuously compares your actual purchase prices with the material basis of your pre-costing. The tool shows which materials have moved, which items contain them and for which customers the margin shrinks as a result. External price series are added if you have a source for them.

How your team describes it

Your experts say what they need in their own words. Onagero finds the right data and builds the tool in a test stage; after your release it runs in operation.

What the tool takes over

Three steps done by hand today. The tool your team builds with Onagero then does them itself.

Comparing

Purchase price per material from the purchase orders against the price used in costing.

Cascading

Through BOMs and routings: which items contain the material, in what quantity, for which customers.

Flagging

If a deviation exceeds a threshold that you set, it is flagged, for purchasing and sales in the same view.

Typical situations

This is what the value looks like day to day.

Preparing a price adjustment

Which customers have items with the material that has become more expensive? The list with quantities is ready for the conversation.

Updating the costing basis

When was the basis last adjusted, and how far off is it today? The tool shows it per material.

Alloy or price escalation surcharge

Where contracts provide for surcharges, the tool shows whether they were charged.

Purchasing meeting

The price development of a supplier over twelve months, from your own purchase orders.

Which data is needed

  • Purchase orders and goods receipts with prices
  • Material basis of the pre-costing
  • BOMs or material shares per item
  • Optional: external price series, if you have a license

What you end up with

A tool that shows, per material, the deviation from the costing basis, lists the affected items and customers and sends a message when your threshold is exceeded.

Start with one problem.
Keep the capability.

No AI transformation. One real process, solved on your data in a few weeks. Your team solves the next one itself.

How your price is formed

After the demo you get a fixed offer. Scope, goal and price are set in writing before it starts.

The start
A fixed offerafter the demo

One real problem, the data sources it needs, your Onagero environment on your server, and the first solution, built with your team and measured against the agreed goal.

  • Scope, goal and price in writing before the start
  • First running solution in a few weeks
  • Your data and results stay exportable at any time
The platform
Monthlyfor your Onagero environment

Operating the platform on your server: monitoring, reviewed updates, backup and rehearsed recovery, and maintenance of the connections when systems change.

  • Begins only once the start has reached its goal
  • Your team builds further solutions itself, in the same environment
  • Roles, releases and logs included

What you can rely on

The tool reads, computes and shows. These things it never does, and that is in the contract.

  • Onagero does not forecast commodity prices.
  • It changes no prices in the ERP and writes to no customers.
  • It does not procure market data that requires a license. The license remains your responsibility.

Questions about Track material prices

Does this also work with metal quotations?

Yes, if you have a source that your IT releases, for example a subscribed price series. Without an external series, the tool calculates with your own purchase prices and says so.

How often is the comparison made?

With each new goods receipt or daily, depending on the source.

What about framework agreements?

Framework prices are kept as a basis of their own. We define the rule.

Can the tool propose new prices?

It can calculate what an adjustment means for contribution margin and customers. Your sales team sets the price.
